What we process

• Audio and video you send or link to: processed in memory to produce a transcript and discarded afterwards. We do not store files or transcripts. The audio is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI for speech recognition.
• Account data: a random account id, a hash of your key and a ledger of credits (purchases and usage with timestamps).
• Payments: handled by Polar. We receive the order id, the amount and the account id, never your card details.
• Network data: your IP address is used transiently to limit abuse. A salted hash of it is kept for up to 7 days to limit free-trial credits.

We use no cookies and no analytics.

Why and legal basis

To provide the Service you request (contract), to keep it secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest) and to keep accounting records (legal obligation).

Retention

Files and transcripts: not retained. Network hash: 7 days. Account and ledger: while the account exists and as long as the law requires for accounting records.

Processors and transfers

Cloudflare (hosting and speech recognition) and Polar (payments). They may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing by writing to hello@useears.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

The Service is not directed at children.
