Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 November 2026
These terms govern your use of Ears (the "Service"), operated by Jaime Casado Portuondo (tax ID 55526329M), 28670 Villaviciosa de Odón, Madrid, Spain. Contact: hello@useears.com.
1. The Service
Ears transcribes audio and video files that you send or link to and returns text and subtitles. You use it through an AI assistant (MCP) or the HTTP interface.
2. Credits and payments
Credits are prepaid units: 1 credit = US$0.01 = 1 minute of audio, rounded up per file. Credits do not expire and are tied to your account. If you lose both your key and your recovery key we cannot restore the credits. Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record, which is the seller of record and applies its own terms and taxes. Failed transcriptions are not charged.
3. Acceptable use
Send only files you own or have the right to process. Do not use the Service for illegal content, to bypass limits, to farm free credits, to create accounts automatically, to overload it, or to process content from platforms whose terms forbid it.
4. Accuracy
Transcripts come from automatic speech recognition and can contain errors. Review them before relying on them for legal, medical or safety-critical decisions.
5. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We may change or suspend features and will give notice of material price changes.
6. Suspension
We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service. Credits of accounts suspended for abuse may be forfeited.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
8. Law
Spanish law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
